A Fare Basis Code or FBC specifies the rules of an airline’s fare. Fare codes starts with a letter followed by optional letters and digits.

Booking codes

  • R: supersonic (international only). Also used for A380 suites.
  • P, F: first class
  • A: discounted first class
  • J, C: business class
  • D, Z: discounted business class
  • Y, S, W: economy class
  • B, H, K, L, M, N, Q, T, V: discounted economy class
