The National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the interests of its members. It consists of over 1,100 freight carriers. The two primary purposes of the NMFTA are to provide National Motor Freight Classifications (NMFCs) and to register Standard Carrier Alpha Codes.
