Interstate Aviation Committee (MAK) is an executive body overseeing the use and management of civil aviation in the Commonwealth of Independent States. MAK was established in 1991, when 12 states of the former Soviet Union signed the Intergovernmental Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace.
The Air Accident Investigation Commission of the Interstate Aviation Committee (MAK) regularly investigates plane crashes in the former Soviet republics.
