Turbojet train is a train powered by turbojet engine. The first turbojet train ER22 was built in the USSR in 1970.
Another attempt to use turbojet engines on railroad was made by General Electric in 1966. Their railcar M-497 Black Beetle was able to reach speeds up to 296 kilometres per hour (184 mph).
